"Today I choose life. Every morning when I wake up I can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain... To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices - today I choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but to embrace it. " -Kevyn Aucoin

Today I woke up with the strong desire do to something. Do you know this feeling when there's just million things on your mind that you wanna try and do but in the end you never do them for no particular reason?Well I had a lot of moments like this in the past, but now it's time to say good bye to this bad habit of mine. Like for example, I've always wanted to have a proper blog, but somehow I never managed to do that. And another thing I wanted to do since forever is to rearrange my room. But now I can finally say I did it. Well my room is not quite finished yet, because I still have to paint the walls but this will have to wait a little, because now I'm busy studying for my exams. The good thing is that the process of rearranging is ON.
And now I'm off to enjoy the rest of this lovely morning/day.

Wish you an amazing week !

Lately I've been obssesing with changing my hair color. I just got tired of dark hair, since I've had dark hair for last three years or so, this girl needs something fresh you know. But choosing the right hair color has always been a challenge for me, making decisions is not really my strong point :). Somehow, since it will be autumn soon, I'm leaning more towards honey/orangish tones of hair color.
If I could manage to get hair color like this I'd be beyond happy.

"Look at the rain long enough, with no thoughts in your head, and you gradually feel your body falling loose, shaking free of the world of reality. Rain has the power to hypnotize." - Haruki Murakami

For as far back as I can remember I've always loved rain. Everything about it actually. The smell of it, the sound of it, the feeling of rain drops on my skin, the cold breeze that came along with it, the feeling of freshness. Rain had the ability to clean my head and put my mind at peace.

Delicious pear tart !
Saturday, August 25, 2012, 6:14 PM
Today I woke up with a great desire to bake a delicious tart! So I picked up some old cooking magazines and  found this amazing Pear Tart recipe and decided to bake it !

RECIPE:

Ingredients:
- 120 g of whole-grain or regular flour
- 100 g of sugar
- 1 egg yolk + 2 whole eggs
- 80 g baking butter
- 2 pears ( 4 if small )
- 375 g of low fat curd
- 1 vanilla pudding ( I used Dr.Oetker's)

Directions:

1. Firstly, to prepare the chrust we will need flour, egg yolk, 20 g's of sugar, 60 g's of baking butter and one spoon of cold water. We pat the dough so that it becomes perfectly round and we wrap it into a plastic wrap. Then we put it in a refrigirator for about an hour.
2. Meanwhile we preheat the owen on 150°C and peal the 1 pear. We cut the pear it into slices. Next we separate egg yolks for egg whites. We mix the egg yolks, sugar and baking butter to get a nice creamy texture. Then we add the curd and vanilla pudding to the mixture along with the whipped egg whites and sliced pear.
3. All the have to do now is roll the chilled dough into a large circle. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and draping the dough over the rolling pin. If the dough breaks at all patch it up with your fingers :).
4. The tart is now finally ready for baking! We put it in the owen and bake for about 25 minutes on 150°C and another 15 minutes on 175°C. We take the tart out of the owen and decorate it with 1-2 pears and put it back in the owen for about 10 minutes.
5. TIME TO TASTE THE GOODIES !

Bon Appétit !
